European Innovation Scoreboard 2006
The 2006 European Innovation Scoreboard was published on 22 February 2007. Developed under the Lisbon Strategy to evaluate and compare the innovation performance of EU Member States, the EIS 2006 studies innovation indicators and trend analyses for the EU25 Member States, plus the two new Member States of Bulgaria and Romania, as well as for Croatia, Turkey, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, the US and Japan. The study concludes that innovation performance in the EU varies considerably between Member States. Countries classified as "innovation leaders" in the EU include Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Finland.
Denmark: Innovation Denmark 2007-2010
The Danish Council for Technology and Innovation published an Innovation Action Plan in February 2007. It marks the first occasion that all Danish public innovation initiatives are presented in a single framework. The action plan, which builds on the recent Danish Globalisation Strategy, consists of more than 70 concrete initiatives intended to turn Denmark into one of the most competitive and innovative countries in the world.

France: Public research valorisation remains weak
A recent independent report commissioned by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry and the Ministry of Higher Education and Research concluded that the valorisation of public research in France remains weak. Despites increased efforts since 1999, French public research valorisation is still lagging behind other countries.
